Central Education Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi Inaugurates CBSE's Latest Experiential Center in New Delhi
In New Delhi, Central Education Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the latest experiential centre of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The centre has been established to promote practical teaching across educational institutions at the national level. It offers interactive laboratories in science, technology, engineering, arts and humanities, digital learning modules, and virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) based teaching tools. This facility will particularly help students from classes 6 to 12 connect theoretical knowledge with real‑world applications, making the learning process more engaging and effective.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several senior officials of the Ministry of Education, representatives of CBSE, and delegates from various state education departments. Minister Joshi said, “Alongside traditional teaching methods, experiential education must be regarded as equally important. This centre will assist students in developing experimental skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a spirit of innovation.” He also noted that through this centre schools will receive regular training, workshops, and continuous professional development programmes for teachers.
CBSE has launched several initiatives in recent years to emphasize digital learning and skill‑based education. This experiential centre is regarded as an integral part of the national educational network, which will provide remote resources and guidance to schools across different states. The Ministry of Education underscored the necessity of adopting experimental and interactive learning models in future education, so that Indian students can seize opportunities to become leaders in global competition.
