Central Minister of Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal, together with government employees, launched a collective cleanliness campaign for a clean and sustainable environment, thereby infusing new energy into public awareness of cleanliness.

Central Law and Justice State Minister (Independent charge) Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal recently led the main cleanliness campaign, in which officials, employees and local volunteers from various departments showed active participation. The aim of this initiative is not only to strengthen waste management in urban areas, but also to upgrade cleanliness standards in rural areas. Meghwal said at the inauguration ceremony of the program that cleanliness is not just a government policy, but a social responsibility that all citizens must jointly fulfill. He emphasized the importance of waste segregation, recycling and water conservation, and expressed commitment to implementing more sustainable environmental policies in the future.

Under the cleanliness campaign, regular cleaning drills in various government offices, establishment of proper waste disposal systems and organization of awareness workshops were carried out. Officials, together with employees, participated in cleaning public places, schools and health centers, resulting in a notable improvement in cleanliness standards at workplaces. This program was implemented in detail with the cooperation of local administration and the municipal corporation, including provision of new bins for waste collection, an electronic waste management system and facilities for composting organic waste.

This collective effort for cleanliness not only provided environmental benefits, but also fostered social unity among employees and infused new energy towards public service. Experts believe that such initiatives will play a crucial role in strengthening the national cleanliness mission and will prove helpful in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Plans are being made to replicate this model in other states and union territories in the future, so that the culture of cleanliness can be further entrenched in India.
