IIT Mumbai Pune campus successfully organized two major programs – APARC Early Career Workshop and ESTIC Curtain Raiser – for young researchers and entrepreneurs, strengthening the academic and innovation environment.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai's Pune campus organized two international-level programs this year, aimed at guiding young researchers in the early stages of their careers and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. In the APARC (Asia‑Pacific Association of Research Community) Early Career Workshop, practical sessions were provided to Ph.D. candidates, post‑doctoral researchers, and early‑career professors on research proposal writing, securing funding, international collaboration, and academic publishing strategies. Senior members of APARC and leading Indian scientists participated in this workshop, sharing their experiences and giving participants the opportunity to align with global research standards.

Additionally, the Curtain Razor program, organized in collaboration with the European Science‑Technology Innovation Center (E‑STIC), offered in‑depth guidance to startup founders and technology entrepreneurs on developing business models, building prototypes, and market entry strategies. Experienced industry experts, investors, and successful entrepreneurs provided direct advice through panel discussions and workshops. In total, hundreds of students, researchers, and industry representatives participated in both programs, establishing a robust bridge between academic research and commercial innovation. Thus, IIT Mumbai Pune campus, by extending its academic mission, provided solid support to make India’s young scientific and entrepreneurial community competitive on the global stage.
