Manoj Goyal, Chairman of KVC, inaugurated the special exhibition organized at INA Delhi Haat as a major attraction of Khadi Mahotsav‑2026, showcasing handicrafts and indigenous items from artisans across the country.

The inauguration of the special Khadi and Village Industries exhibition, organized under Khadi Mahotsav‑2026, was performed today by Mr. Manoj Goyal, Chairman of KVIC (Khadi and Village Industries Commission), at Delhi Haat in INA, Delhi. Senior KVIC officials, representatives of the central and state governments, and delegates from various craft organizations participated in the inauguration ceremony. Mr. Goyal said that Khadi is not merely a fabric but a symbol of indigenous production, self‑reliance and environmental sustainability. He praised the platform for providing artisans an opportunity to establish their identity in national and international markets and emphasized the need for greater investment and encouragement in the future.

At the exhibition, artisans from various regions of India showcased hand‑woven Khadi textiles, fabrics dyed with natural colours, household items made of jute and bamboo, and samples of innovative technologies related to village industries. The platform also hosted workshops on digital marketing, e‑commerce and export opportunities alongside indigenous production. The audience appreciated the quality and design of these products, which increased the engagement of potential buyers and investors for local manufacturers.

The objective of Khadi Mahotsav‑2026 is to revive the popularity of Khadi, empower rural entrepreneurs, and steer consumer preference toward clean, sustainable textiles. KVIC’s initiative will not only boost the rural economy but also yield environmental benefits. Experts believe that such platforms infuse new energy into indigenous industries and enhance their contribution to national economic development.
