Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Sudhansh Pant, yesterday called the newly appointed members of the governing body of WBDNC (District Window, Child Development and National Council) to take oath in a formal ceremony with the head of the state government. The event was organized with the aim of strengthening the implementation of the state's policies in the areas of social justice, women's empowerment, and child rights. During the oath, Pant obtained a pledge from the committee members that they will work with full dedication and transparency to realize the goals of social justice, gender equality, and child welfare.

WBDNC is a prominent policy‑making and monitoring institution that works at the district level for the protection and promotion of women’s and children’s rights. This governing body was constituted by the state government in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, with the objective of ensuring effective implementation of policies at the regional level. Committee members, which include local politicians, social workers, and government officials, were instructed to commence actions under their respective responsibilities after taking the oath.
