The Prime Minister shared photos and videos of the key sites and events he observed during his visit to Varanasi on social media, thereby reminding the public of the capital’s historical and cultural significance.

During his visit to Varanasi, the Prime Minister shared photos and videos of grand events at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Ramnath Swami Temple, and the ghats of the Ganges, engaging with the public. In these glimpses, he highlighted scenes of devotees praying on the banks of the Ganges, as well as the temple’s magnificent architecture and ancient craftsmanship.

The purpose of this visit was to reaffirm Varanasi’s religious, historical, and economic significance, while also demonstrating the government’s commitment to local development plans.

Varanasi, regarded as the holy city of Hinduism, plays a unique role in India’s cultural and spiritual history. The Prime Minister’s itinerary showcased a confluence of tradition and modernity, during which he announced new initiatives for water‑conservation projects on the Ganges’ banks, tourism development, and strengthening of local industries.

Furthermore, he presented plans for collaboration with Varanasi’s academic and research institutions, which will promote education and research in the region.

The public and political parties received the visit positively, and many praised the photos and videos shared by the Prime Minister on social media. After the visit, the Prime Minister also toured other major sites in Varanasi and demanded a special allocation in the parliamentary budget for regional development plans. Thus, the Prime Minister’s visit to Varanasi not only highlighted religious and cultural heritage but also set a new direction for economic and social development.
