In Sanchi’s historic precinct, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan spoke on empowering farmers on Women Farmers’ Day, and also laid the foundation stone for 46 rural roads, emphasizing development of basic infrastructure.

In the backdrop of the ancient monasteries of Sanchi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan organized a dialogue session to commemorate Women Farmers' Day. In the program, he acknowledged the contribution of women in agriculture and highlighted plans to improve their access to credit, training, and markets. The Chief Minister explained that the state government has taken steps to establish dedicated agricultural training centers for women and to implement favorable financial policies for micro and small enterprises. He stated, “Empowering women is essential for the progress of all farmers, and we must provide them with equal opportunities at every level.”

Following the session, Chauhan took a historic step by laying the foundation stone for 46 rural roads. These roads will be constructed around Sanchi in 12 surrounding districts to facilitate smooth agricultural and commercial activities. The Chief Minister noted that this project falls under the “Roads for All” scheme, which aims to improve transportation facilities in rural areas, reduce farmers’ production costs, and bring their produce to market. He also assured that the road construction work will adhere to environmental standards and will provide employment opportunities to local communities.

Thus, the dialogue by Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Women Farmers' Day and the foundation stone laying for 46 rural roads in Sanchi clearly demonstrate that the government is giving equal attention to both social empowerment and infrastructure development for the overall progress of the agricultural sector.
