Under the seventh phase of the ongoing multi‑stage cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, a delegation launched a cultural exploration and youth exchange programme, which will give new direction to cultural and educational ties between the two states.

Under the seventh phase of the ongoing “Sangam” programme between Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, a special delegation was formed, which set out on a journey of cultural exploration and youth exchange. This initiative is undertaken to promote mutual understanding and cultural enrichment between the two states. The delegation includes officials from Madhya Pradesh’s Department of Culture, heads of Karnataka’s youth and academic institutions, and cultural artists and researchers from both states.

During the trip, participants inspected major cultural sites in Karnataka, such as the Karnataka Palace in Bangalore, the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai, and cultural programmes organized on the coastal beach of Goa. In addition, artists from Madhya Pradesh performed traditional dance, music and handicrafts in Karnataka, establishing a creative dialogue between the artists of the two states. Under the youth exchange programme, students from Karnataka’s universities and college students from Madhya Pradesh are experiencing each other’s academic curricula, research projects and cultural activities.

Through this initiative, the aim is to strengthen cultural exchange between the two states while fostering dialogue and cooperation among the youth. In the preceding phases of “Sangam”, several projects were launched to enhance education, health and economic cooperation; now this new phase is seen as a significant step to enrich cultural and academic dimensions. The delegation’s experiences and reports will serve as guides for upcoming phase programmes, further solidifying the foundation for long‑term cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
