Indian Prime Minister is visiting the states of Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on 25 October to monitor the progress of ongoing development projects in both states and to engage in dialogue with citizens.

Prime Minister announced on 25 October that he will visit both Uttar Pradesh and Odisha, making it clear that the government is giving special attention to ongoing infrastructure and social welfare schemes in the two states. Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, will see the Prime Minister’s primary focus on monitoring the implementation of road, railway and energy projects, while in Odisha he will discuss river‑conservation and rural‑development schemes aimed at tackling climate change.

During the visit, the Prime Minister has also pledged to meet local leaders and ordinary citizens. He will attend inauguration ceremonies for major public works in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including projects for constructing new highways and expanding urban public‑transport networks. In Odisha, he will gather information on new government schemes launched in agriculture and fisheries, as well as discuss corrective measures in education and health services.

Politically, the tour is being seen as significant in the context of the upcoming national elections. The move is intended to boost the government’s popularity in both states, where differences between party supporters and opposition parties are evident. The Prime Minister’s visit is expected to reaffirm his commitment to development in both states and convey to citizens that the government is taking their needs seriously.
