Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will visit Andhra Pradesh in the next two days, where he will have an in‑depth discussion on the state's development projects, centre‑state cooperation and social welfare schemes.

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will tour the major cities of Andhra Pradesh over the next 2 days. During this trip, he will participate in various events in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Dwaraka, including the inauguration of a new irrigation project, a review of progress on the National Health Mission, and a discussion on the advancement of the digital education initiative. The Vice President will meet with the state’s Chief Minister, Governor and representatives of various socio‑economic institutions, aiming to strengthen centre‑state dialogue.

Vice President Radhakrishnan has previously made several official visits to South India and has often highlighted central government policies in the areas of rural development, health care and education. Andhra Pradesh, which has made notable progress in industrial investment and infrastructure development in recent years, views this visit as an opportunity to further clarify its role in the implementation of national schemes. Discussions are expected particularly on water‑resource management, agricultural technology upgrades and smart‑city projects, which are anticipated to accelerate the state’s economic growth.

The tour forms part of the central government’s broad strategy to strengthen cooperation with the southern states, where social stability and development are being prioritized alongside preparations for the upcoming national elections. The Vice President’s presence is expected to infuse new energy into several ongoing projects in the state, and the platform will also provide various stakeholders an opportunity to share their views and shape future policies.
