Central Home Ministry Awards 490 Employees with Central Home Minister Efficiency Medal This Year

The Central Home Ministry honored 490 employees this year with the “Central Home Minister Efficiency Medal,” recognizing excellence in service, dedication, and innovation among personnel from various states, union territories, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Civil Police Officers (CPOs). The award was instituted five years ago with the aim of motivating individuals who demonstrate outstanding performance in law and order and public safety across all levels. This year’s selection prioritized employees who made notable contributions in criminal investigation, disaster management, implementation of social security schemes, and community safety.

During the medal‑presenting ceremony, the Home Minister remarked that the honor not only highlights individual achievements but also strengthens the spirit of cooperation and coordination across the entire security apparatus. He also noted that such awards will encourage better work practices in the future and aim to continuously improve the quality of public services. Along with the award, medal recipients were given a certificate of appreciation and an acknowledged honorary ranking, which can benefit their future career development.

Notably, this time the selection process placed a premium on the use of digital surveillance, data analytics, and technological innovation, underscoring that Indian security agencies are becoming more responsive and prepared for contemporary challenges. This initiative is expected to inspire employees at all levels to bring greater efficiency and transparency to their duties, ultimately enabling citizens to receive safer and more reliable public services.
