The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed the flight test of its developed semi‑ballistic missile “Pralay,” a step taken to further strengthen India’s strategic capabilities.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has completed the successful flight test of its semi‑ballistic missile “Pralay.” This test is a significant milestone in taking Indian missile technology to new heights. “Pralay” is designed to reach targets at long range with accuracy and reliability, and to test its flight capability DRDO selected one of the country’s premier missile testing centres.

During the test, advanced engine and guidance systems were employed to keep the missile on its trajectory after launch. Data obtained during the test made it clear that “Pralay’s” guidance system can adjust to real‑time changes in target locations, further enhancing its accuracy. The DRDO chief said that this success is important for strengthening India’s strategic defence framework as well as contributing to regional peace and stability.

Following the successful test of “Pralay,” DRDO announced that in the next phase further improvements will be made to the missile’s range and launching platform, so that it can prove useful in various strategic scenarios. This progress makes it clear that India is continuously developing its autonomous defence capabilities to protect its interests at the global level and maintain regional balance.
