The fourth conference of mining ministers, aimed at shaping the direction of India’s mining sector, will be held in Goa in the upcoming two‑day event, with sustainable mining, technological innovation, and investment attraction as the main agenda items.

The fourth conference of mining ministers will be held soon in Goa with the aim of strengthening the implementation of the National Mining Policy and deepening industry‑government dialogue. This two‑day forum will include India's central and state mining ministers, as well as major industry representatives, environmental experts, and international partners. In the previous three conferences, several policy measures were taken to promote climate‑safe mining, incorporate digital technologies, and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs); this time there will be detailed discussions on moving these initiatives into the implementation phase.

The main agenda of the conference includes adopting sustainable mining practices, promoting the use of clean energy, and strengthening mining‑environmental impact assessments. Additionally, simplifying regulatory procedures to attract mining investment in India, accelerating the licensing process through digital platforms, and adopting innovation‑driven technologies such as automated drilling, drone‑assisted monitoring, and data analytics will also be key topics of discussion. Through dialogue with international experts, efforts will be made to align India's mining policy with global standards.

The organizing committee said that workshops, panel discussions, and best‑practice sessions will be held during the conference, providing policymakers with an opportunity to present practical solutions. The proposals emerging from this forum will be promptly reviewed by the government and implemented as necessary amendments to the National Mining Policy, thereby enhancing the industry's competitiveness.
