The CORE 2026 program held at the Manekshaw Center in New Delhi provided a platform for representatives of government, private and academic institutions, where they prepared strategic guidelines to assess and improve the effectiveness of public policies.

The recently held Joint Operational Review and Evaluation (CORE) program 2026 at the Manekshaw Center in New Delhi brought together representatives from various ministries, state governments, development agencies, and academic institutions. The main objective of this two‑day platform was to review the implementation processes and outcomes of various public schemes at the national level and to chart future directions. Policymakers, researchers, and field experts shared experiences from their respective domains, fostering a comprehensive perspective on the practical effectiveness of policies. Special sessions reviewed key sectors such as health, education, climate change, and digital infrastructure, where data‑driven analysis and case studies identified current challenges.

At the conclusion of the program, a comprehensive report was prepared, containing concrete recommendations for policy improvement and timelines for implementation. According to the report, emphasis was placed on enhancing transparency in data collection across multiple sectors, strengthening coordination among stakeholders, and instituting a results‑based evaluation system. The government has regarded this initiative as a significant step toward aligning with the national development agenda, and plans to repeat the CORE program on an annual basis in the future to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.

Overall, CORE 2026 has established a robust platform for measuring and enhancing policy effectiveness, raising expectations for optimal utilization of public resources and improved citizen welfare.
