The National Communication Council (NCRTC) recognized the achievements of the “Namo Bharat” initiative with a grand ceremony on its third anniversary. The campaign has played a significant role in promoting citizen awareness and cultural unity across the country.

NCRTC today celebrated the successes of the “Namo Bharat” programme in a formal ceremony marking three years of the programme. The programme was launched in 2023, with the aim of promoting a sense of patriotism, preserving cultural heritage, and strengthening the feeling of unity among citizens. Under the programme, lakh people participated through both online and offline mediums, and more than 500 programmes were organized in over 200 states.

According to the review committee, “Namo Bharat” has generated over 3 crore interactions on digital platforms, while the hashtag #NamoBharat has been used more than 10 lakh times on social media. Through this initiative, more than 12,000 youth volunteers have been trained and over 50,000 citizens have been engaged in public service projects. An NCRTC spokesperson said, “During the three years we have not only increased citizen awareness, but also infused new energy and unity into civil society.”

In future plans, NCRTC announced that next year “Namo Bharat” will be expanded further, including the promotion of Indian cultural values at the international level. The programme chief also mentioned that under this initiative more than 1,00,000 new volunteers will be included in the upcoming year, so that the country’s cultural heritage can be passed on to the next generation. Thus, NCRTC made it clear that “Namo Bharat” is not just a programme, but a continuous initiative to strengthen the social fabric of the nation.
