New Sports Festival Banner Poster Launched: Updated Details and Key Attractions

On August 15, 2024, the National Sports Council (NSC) made public the official banner poster of the India Sports Mahotsav 2024, creating a buzz of excitement among sports fans and media. The poster mentions the festival dates as 5 to 12 October 2024 and various competitions to be held across major cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the national sports calendar and providing a platform to young talent, thereby promoting sports culture across the country.

The poster has been designed by renowned graphic artist Arpit Singh, combining vibrant images of various sports in India to create a dynamic backdrop. The colors of the tricolor in the center have been given prominence, while the shape of the Olympic rings has been presented in a modern style. The aim of this artistic selection is to reflect the unity, diversity and national pride of the game, thereby creating an emotional connect with the audience.

A total of 28 sports disciplines are included in the program of the festival, the prominent ones being Athletics, Kabaddi, Badminton, Hockey and Swimming. Different schedules have been set for each sport, with the matches being held on October 5-7 for athletics in Delhi, October 8-9 for Kabaddi in Mumbai and October 10-11 for badminton in Kolkata. Participation of more than 5,000 players from 12 states and union territories is expected in these events.

Along with the banner launch, NSC also announced partnerships with key corporate sponsors—Tata Motors, Coca-Cola and Air India. As part of the digital promotion, an extensive social media campaign will be run using the hashtag #IndiaSportsFest2024 and live interactions will be conducted with leading sports stars. National and international media outlets have prepared special teams to cover the event, ensuring wide visibility.

Analysts believe that the festival will not only highlight sporting talent but also have a positive impact on tourism, local business and health awareness. The estimated audience will be more than 200,000, including representatives from schools, colleges and sports clubs. Thus, the India Sports Festival 2024 will mark an important milestone in the sports landscape of the country.
