The Ministry of Labour and Employment, under its “Special Campaign 6”, has successfully completed six major phases, thereby achieving the goal of strengthening the country’s employment framework. The main objective of this campaign was to create an integrated platform for skill development, promotion of entrepreneurship, and job creation. The ministry, in collaboration with various states, provided technical and vocational training to more than 30,000 youth, resulting in the creation of more than 15,000 employment opportunities.
During the campaign, the Ministry of Labour made online training modules available through the “Skill Development Portal” and, under the “Entrepreneurship Workshop”, provided financial assistance and mentorship to start‑ups. Additionally, the organization of “employment fairs” connected thousands of job seekers directly with employers. The ministry’s spokesperson said that under this campaign, special priority was given to youth from rural and backward sections, taking a significant step towards reducing regional disparities in employment.
With the successful conclusion of Special Campaign 6, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has clarified that it will continue such multi‑dimensional programmes in the future to increase employment opportunities and promote skill‑based employment. This effort is expected not only to increase job opportunities but also to contribute to the overall economic development of the country.
