On the auspicious occasion of Navaratri, the Prime Minister performed puja and worship at a major Kushmanda temple in the country, thereby underscoring the cultural and spiritual significance of this goddess.

During the holy festival of Navaratri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed a special puja‑archana at a prominent Kushmanda temple in the country. In this ceremony, the Prime Minister himself lit a lamp, offered to Goddess Mother Kushmanda, and appreciated the devotion and enthusiasm gathered among the devotees. In his address, the Prime Minister said that Kushmanda, known as the mother who creates the creation of the universe, is a symbol of power, courage, and creativity in Indian culture. He linked this occasion with a message of women’s empowerment and national unity, indicating that the role of women in the nation’s development is unshakable.

Along with the devotees present at the temple, many social workers and religious leaders also valued this occasion. The program mentioned one of Kushmanda’s new forms, especially “Kushmanda Shakti,” which is dedicated to the ninth day of Navaratri. The Prime Minister also said that the government gives equal respect to all religious‑cultural festivals and is implementing special schemes for the preservation and development of various religious sites.

The Prime Minister’s visit not only highlighted the spiritual significance of Kushmanda but also underscored the government’s commitment to preserving diverse religious traditions at the national level. Thus, in this holy atmosphere of Navaratri, the Prime Minister endeavored to strengthen the message of cultural diversity and social harmony, thereby rekindling the spirit of celebration and national unity among the people.
