The Defence Minister said that under Narendra Modi's guidance, the government is committed to shaping a new India dedicated to prosperity, knowledge and power, as well as global peace and the welfare of humanity.

The Defence Minister announced at the annual Defence Air Force conference that India's development will not be limited to internal prosperity alone; it will also contribute to global peace and humanity. He described the government's policies, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as being based on three pillars of “prosperity, knowledge, and strength,” and added “global peace and the welfare of humanity” as an additional pillar. This statement reflects India's comprehensive strategy, which includes enhancing defence capabilities while also playing an active role in humanitarian assistance, disaster management, and international peace missions.

The Defence Minister emphasized that India's defence policy is no longer confined to national security alone; it is also prepared to contribute to the world's peacekeeping efforts. He said that in recent years India has strengthened its indigenous defence industry, thereby increasing the country's self-reliance and supporting regional stability through reliable partnerships. Moreover, by linking India's commitment to global peace with the “welfare of humanity,” he clarified that India's goal is to become a nation that, alongside economic and technological progress, remains committed to peace and human rights on a global scale.
