46 “Viksit Bharat Yuva Samvaad: Apna Vote Jaanen” events held across 21 states and centrally administered territories aimed to increase electoral awareness among young voters, thereby encouraging youth participation in upcoming elections.

With the organization of 46 programs across 21 states and union territories, the ‘Developed India Youth Dialogue: Know Your Vote’ initiative aimed to increase electoral awareness among youth. The program was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Election Commission, and included workshops, panel discussions, and simulations focused on electoral processes, voter registration, and the importance of voting.

The primary objective of the programs was to raise awareness among young voters about their rights and responsibilities. Targeting students, working youth, and young people from rural areas aged 18‑35, the organizers conducted virtual tours of polling stations, step‑by‑step guidance for online registration, and role‑play sessions based on real voting experiences. In addition, real‑time information on the voting process and results was shared via the ‘Know Your Vote’ app on digital platforms, making it easier for youth to access electoral data.

During these programs, representatives of political parties also participated, providing young participants with the opportunity for direct dialogue on policy making and electoral issues. Experts advocated making civic education mandatory for youth, while the Election Commission stated that such initiatives would play a crucial role in strengthening future democracy. Through this campaign, a significant increase in the young voter base is expected, giving new direction to their participation in the 2026 general elections.
