The senior officials of both countries inspected the NICDC pavilion at InnoProm India 2026 and discussed new opportunities to strengthen India‑Russia industrial cooperation.
InnoProM India 2026, India's premier industrial and technology exhibition, was visited by Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and Russian Federation Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Anton Alekhanov at the National Industrial Development Corporation (NIDCC) pavilion. On this occasion, the progress of existing trade partnerships between the two countries was assessed and discussions were held on identifying new areas for cooperation. In particular, a desire was expressed to accelerate joint projects in aerospace, anti‑transport, energy technology, and digital manufacturing.
During the visit, NIDCC representatives presented detailed information about advanced machinery, clean energy solutions, and the startup ecosystem manufactured in India. The Russian delegation highlighted its high‑tech production capabilities, especially in aluminum, titanium, and high‑speed data transmission equipment. Both parties indicated that a bilateral working group would be formed in the coming months to promote technology transfer, joint research and development, and investment.
This meeting is considered a significant step toward giving new direction to India‑Russia economic relations. In recent years, the two countries have expanded cooperation in energy security, defense equipment, and agricultural technology, and this time the goal is to broaden industrial collaboration to promote export‑based production and job creation. Experts believe that such high‑level dialogues on platforms like InnoProM India not only boost trade figures but also lay the foundation for long‑term strategic partnerships.
