The MSME Ministry organized a workshop to raise awareness among women entrepreneurs about the SRFI fund available to them, thereby informing them about new opportunities for financial assistance and development.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) organized an awareness workshop on the SRFI Fund targeting women‑led micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The event aimed to provide detailed information on the financial assistance available to women‑owned businesses, loan terms, and incentive schemes. Participants included officials from the MSME Ministry, representatives from financial institutions, and several women entrepreneurs.

During the workshop, details were shared about loans offered at interest rates of up to 15 percent under the SRFI Fund, an interest‑free period of up to 12 months, and government subsidies of up to 10 percent. The application process, required documents, and eligibility criteria were also highlighted. Women entrepreneurs were informed that the fund could be used to increase production capacity, adopt new technology, and expand into new markets. A session was held in which successful women entrepreneurs shared their experiences and encouraged participants to leverage financial assistance to elevate their businesses to new heights.

The ministry’s spokesperson said, “Our goal is to empower women entrepreneurs by raising awareness of financial assistance. Through the SRFI Fund, we can free women‑run MSMEs from financial constraints and accelerate their business growth.” This initiative reflects the ministry’s ongoing commitment to promoting women entrepreneurship and strengthening gender equality in the small‑industry sector.
