India’s Mining Ministers’ Fourth International Conference is set to take place on 5‑6 November on the beaches of Goa, where discussions will focus on mining policies, sustainable development, and global cooperation.

The fourth conference of India’s mining ministers, known as the platform for national mining policy and international cooperation, will be held at Goa’s prestigious Shilp Hotel on 5‑6 November this year. This event builds on the experience of the previous three conferences, in which India highlighted transparency in its mining policy, environmental responsibility, and programs beneficial to local communities. This time, the conference, to be held on Goa’s tranquil beaches, aims to discuss new technologies in the mining sector, energy efficiency, and adaptive measures for climate change.

The conference will host mining ministers from about 30 countries, representatives of international organisations, and senior officials of the Indian Ministry of Mines. The agenda includes digital transformation in the mining sector, blockchain‑based supply chain transparency, and economic empowerment plans for communities affected by mining. In particular, the Indian government has announced that a new ‘Sustainable Mining Action Framework’ will be agreed upon during the conference, integrating environmental protection and social inclusion.

Following this conference, a new work plan will be drafted for investment, technology transfer, and joint research projects in the mining sector between India and its partner countries. Experts believe that this event in Goa will reinforce India’s leading role in mining policy at the global level and set a direction for a more sustainable and inclusive future for the mining industry.
