In the seventh week, MY Bharat’s drug‑free youth campaign took an important step towards a drug‑free society by engaging more than 93,000 youths across 30 states and union territories.
During week‑7, the “Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan” run by MY Bharat gathered more than 93,000 youth participants across the country’s 30 states and union territories. The primary aim of this initiative was to raise awareness about addiction among young people, promote a drug‑free lifestyle, and establish support networks at the community level. Under the campaign, educational workshops, interactive sessions, game‑based training, and information on addiction prevention were delivered through digital platforms. Participants received detailed information on the harmful effects of addiction, rehabilitation options, and health‑related advice, creating expectations of positive change in their lives.
MY Bharat has partnered with various government, non‑government, and private organizations to expand this campaign nationally. In the past six weeks, the program has linked more than 70,000 youth, demonstrating a continuously growing participation. Experts say such extensive engagement can help reduce addiction‑related problems at the societal level, as it brings not only awareness but also behavioral change.
In the next phases, MY Bharat plans additional workshops, online awareness campaigns, and to strengthen collaboration with local rehabilitation centers. The goal is to increase participation to 150,000 in the coming months and establish a sustainable network of drug‑free youth, making it possible to build a generation free of addiction in India.
