In the meeting between the President and Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, several points were discussed to strengthen cooperation in the areas of social development, health, and education, giving the partnership between the two sides a new direction.

President held a formal meeting with Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, head of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), to discuss expanding ongoing social development programmes in India. During the meeting, Prince Rahim presented a detailed overview of AKDN’s work in health, education, water resource management, and rural development. He explained that the network has established models of sustainable development in many countries over recent decades, and that similar initiatives are underway in India, including clean water supply to rural areas, improvement of school quality, and expanding access to health services. The President expressed a desire to coordinate these initiatives with Indian government plans and stated that cooperation between the parties would make a significant contribution to strengthening social infrastructure.

The meeting also covered new dimensions of economic cooperation. Prince Rahim said that the Aga Khan Development Network is ready to provide funding, technical assistance, and expertise to promote partnerships between the private and public sectors. The President welcomed this support for ongoing development projects across various Indian states and centrally governed territories and assured that more detailed agreements would be worked out in the future. This encounter has injected new energy into socio‑economic collaboration between the two countries, with expectations of accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
