In a comprehensive audit of regulatory compliance in the National Capital Region (NCR), CQM conducted inspections at 197 sites within 17 days, identifying the need for improvements in several areas and cases of violations.

To assess compliance with environmental, safety and construction standards in the National Capital Region (NCR), CQUM (Quality Assurance and Monitoring) conducted an intensive 17‑day inspection campaign. During this period, detailed investigations were carried out at 197 different industrial units, commercial complexes and public facilities. The inspections primarily reviewed air and water pollution control, labor safety, fire safety standards and building construction regulations. According to the report, approximately 65 percent of sites met the minimum regulatory standards, while the remaining 35 percent exhibited violations at various levels.

The main violations included irregular emissions from industrial outlets, improper management of drainage systems, and lack of safety measures in construction activities. In particular, serious reports of air‑quality standard breaches were found in some large industrial parks, prompting CQUM to order immediate corrective action. Institutions found in violation have been directed to face regulatory penalties, undergo re‑inspection and submit remediation plans. Additionally, CQUM has planned to establish a continuous monitoring mechanism in collaboration with local administration and relevant departments to ensure future compliance.

After publishing the findings of this investigation, CQUM appealed for cooperation from all concerned parties and stated that strict enforcement of regulatory standards will promote sustainable development and citizen safety in the NCR. This initiative is regarded as a significant step in the interest of regional environmental protection and public health.
