The My Bharat organization has launched a nationwide foot march to raise awareness among youth about living a drug‑free life, expecting thousands of young people and social workers to participate.

Mai Bharat, a leading NGO working in the field of drug rehabilitation and social inclusion, has launched a comprehensive campaign across the country named “Walking for Drug‑Free Youth.” The aim is to spread awareness among youths affected by drug use and inspire them to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The founder of Mai Bharat, Dr. Rajiv Patil, said, “Our goal is to lay the foundation of a drug‑free society, and through this walk we want to sow the seeds of change in the hearts of young people.”

The walk route traverses various cities at the national level, including major hubs such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. In each city, workshops on drug rehabilitation, health check‑ups and motivational speeches will be organized in collaboration with local volunteers and educational institutions. Over 10,000 youths and their families have been invited to participate, and during registration they will also be provided with drug‑rehabilitation resources and counseling services.

Under this program, Mai Bharat has collaborated with government health departments, police forces and schools to widely spread the anti‑drug message. During the same campaign last year, more than 5,000 youths participated in drug‑rehabilitation programmes, and a 15% reduction in drug use was recorded among them. According to Mai Bharat, this time’s walk is likely to bring an even deeper change in awareness toward a drug‑free life, and in the future this model could be applied to other social issues as well.
