Secretary Sudhanshu Pant of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment evaluated the progress and impact of the craft conclave fair held at Delhi Haat in INA, Delhi, where artisans from across the country were given a platform and local economic empowerment was promoted.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Sudhansh Pant, conducted a detailed review of the Craft Confluence Fair 2026 held at Delhi Haat in the INA complex, Delhi. Over 300 artisans from various states of India participated in the fair, showcasing traditional and contemporary craft items, with special emphasis on embroidery, weaving, wood carving, earthenware, and crafts made from recycled materials. Secretary Pant stated that this initiative is a significant step toward strengthening the economic empowerment and social inclusion of artisans at the national level. He also noted that the ministry has provided special grants and training support for this program, helping artisans develop products in line with market demand.

The Craft Confluence Fair not only provides artisans a platform to present their products to consumers but also acquaints consumers with India’s diverse cultural heritage. This year’s fair also saw participation from several social enterprises and startups offering digital marketing and e‑commerce solutions, extending artisans’ reach to broader markets. Secretary Pant praised the initiative and said that such fairs will be organized regularly in the future, reducing the economic gap between rural and urban areas and implementing the principles of social justice in practice. Thus, the Craft Confluence Fair 2026 has taken a solid step toward making artisans self‑reliant.
