NSIC distributed dividends to the central government based on its performance in this financial year, thereby confirming its contribution to the financial robustness of public sector enterprises and the development of small industries.

National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) Announces Dividend to the Government for FY 2025‑26

National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), a premier government institution promoting the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), has declared a dividend to the Government of India for the financial year 2025‑26. This decision follows the company’s sustained revenue growth and operational efficiency, which included a significant improvement in the production capacity of export‑oriented small industries, successful implementation of new financial assistance schemes, and provision of fast and transparent services to customers through digital platforms. NSIC’s annual report states that during this period the institution recorded a two‑digit increase in total revenue, resulting in a notable rise in its net profit compared to the previous year.

Senior government officials view this move as confirmation of the financial health of public sector enterprises. They said that the dividend payment not only reflects the corporation’s financial stability but also strengthens confidence in continued support for small industries and policy formulation. Through this dividend, the government will receive additional income that can be reinvested in key areas such as technological advancement, skill development, and export promotion for small enterprises in the future.

NSIC has also launched several new initiatives this year, including the expansion of a digital loan platform, implementation of a cluster‑based development model, and provision of grants to small manufacturers for sustainable energy solutions. These efforts have not only increased the institution’s income but also strengthened India’s small industry ecosystem. In this way, the dividend paid to the government aligns with the objectives of national economic policy, paving the way for future growth of small and medium enterprises.
