The Heavy Industries Ministry has successfully concluded “Special Campaign 6”, which was undertaken to resolve pending matters in its central public sector enterprises and autonomous bodies, thereby expecting an improvement in the efficiency and transparency of the industrial sector.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has completed “Special Campaign 6” to resolve pending legal, regulatory and administrative matters in its central public sector enterprises (CPSUs) and autonomous bodies. The main objective of this campaign was to streamline the workflow of these entities, eliminate unnecessary delays, and restore confidence among investors and stakeholders. Under the campaign, a comprehensive review, mediation and settlement of more than 120 cases were carried out, resulting in a significant improvement in departmental efficiency.

During the campaign, the ministry formed a dedicated task force comprising legal advisers, financial analysts and industry experts. This task force conducted a rapid assessment of case files, identified contentious issues and presented evidence‑based recommendations for resolution. Additionally, case management was automated through a digital platform, increasing transparency and reducing reporting time by 40 percent. Outstanding contracts, tax recovery and environmental compliance matters in major enterprises such as NIFTY, Aerospace and Steel were also duly settled.

The success of this campaign will create an investment‑friendly environment in the heavy‑industry sector and help industries advance in global competition. The ministry has signalled that similar special campaigns will be continued in the future to settle pending matters in a timely manner and ensure the economic stability of public sector enterprises.
