The Core 2026 program held at the Manekshaw Center in New Delhi provided a platform for senior officials from the government and private sectors to discuss strategic review, evaluation, and collaborative measures.

The Joint Operational Review and Evaluation (CORE) Programme 2026, held at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, brought together policymakers, administrative officials and industry representatives at the national level to discuss important strategic issues. The main objective of the programme was to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the progress of various government schemes and public‑private partnership (PPP) projects, identify challenges arising in implementation, and outline corrective measures. In the two‑day session, representatives of various ministries, state governments and leading private companies presented data on results achieved in their respective areas, budget utilization and social impact.

During the programme, the CORE committee highlighted several key points, including the progress of the Digital India initiative, national preparedness for climate change, and access to health services in rural areas. In particular, there was an extensive discussion on post‑COVID‑19 recovery in the health sector and the status of new health infrastructure, where many states reported falling behind targets. Additionally, proposals were presented for new financial models to expand digital infrastructure and to strengthen data security standards.

In the closing session, the chair of the CORE programme said that such regular reviews enhance policy effectiveness and encourage dialogue among various stakeholders. He urged all participants to continue using this platform in the future to strengthen cooperation for achieving transparency, accountability and sustainable development goals. The programme’s findings will be compiled into a detailed report and sent to the concerned ministries, providing guidance for subsequent policy‑making processes.
