The MSME Ministry and Samsung India have jointly launched an initiative to strengthen the skills of young workers and expand employment opportunities.
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has entered into a strategic partnership with Samsung India, which will give a new dimension to skill development programmes for India's youth. Under this collaboration, Samsung's global experience and technology expertise will be brought to the Indian MSME sector to equip young workers with digital and industrial skills.
Under the partnership, Samsung India will set up training centres for MSMEs and provide virtual and on‑demand training modules. These modules will cover subjects such as software programming, data analytics, smart manufacturing, and customer service. In addition, both parties will jointly arrange internships and practical projects, giving youth real work experience. The MSME Ministry calls this initiative a “model for job creation and skill enhancement,” while Samsung India said the partnership will help Indian MSMEs become competitive at the global level.
The aim of the programme is not only to increase employment opportunities but also to raise young entrepreneurs’ awareness of innovation. The expected impact includes a notable rise in the number of youth with digital skills and an improvement in productivity in the MSME sector. This initiative aligns with the Indian government’s “Digital India” and “Entrepreneurship 2025” goals, which focus on making youth employable and rendering MSMEs competitive in the global market.
