The MSME Ministry and Samsung India have jointly launched a new initiative aimed at promoting skill development in micro, small and medium enterprises and strengthening the employability of youth. Under this partnership, training programmes, certificates and job opportunities will be arranged.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has announced a strategic partnership with Samsung India, aimed at opening new pathways for skill development and employment for Indian youth. Under this alliance, a comprehensive training framework will be developed by combining Samsung’s global technological expertise with the MSME Ministry’s policy framework. The program will emphasize practical skills in information technology, electronics, manufacturing, and digital services, ensuring that young people are prepared in line with current industry demands.

In the first phase, both parties have identified more than 200 training centers where Samsung trainers and MSME experts will jointly design curricula. The program will include both theoretical knowledge and hands‑on projects, enabling trainees to work on real industry projects. After obtaining certification, participants will receive internship and permanent employment opportunities at Samsung and its partner enterprises. Additionally, the MSME Ministry will provide tax incentives and grants for enterprises investing in skill development, thereby boosting innovation and competition in local industries.

The overarching goal of this initiative is to empower 10 lakh youth and create 50,000 new job opportunities in the MSME sector by 2028. Experts believe that this partnership will not only bridge the skill gap but also help position India as a strong player in the global supply chain. The joint effort by the government and Samsung is expected to bring significant improvements in the employability of young people in the coming years.
