The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Samsung India announced a new partnership to strengthen skill development and youth employment.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Government of India has partnered with Samsung India to create an organized framework for youth skill development at the national level. This collaboration will focus on two main areas: practical training in digital technology and electronic manufacturing, and entrepreneurship support. Both parties have said that under this initiative the network of training centers will be expanded across the country, providing equal opportunities to youth in both rural and urban areas. Samsung India will provide financial and technical assistance for the project under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, while the MSME Ministry will arrange policy support, certification, and a job‑matching platform.

This initiative is a significant step toward strengthening India’s rapidly growing MSME sector, as a large share of employment in this sector is available to the young population. In recent years, demand for technical skills has risen sharply, while many young people still remain unemployable after traditional education. The training modules established through this partnership, curricula designed by Samsung’s industry experts, and on‑the‑job internship opportunities will equip youth with industry‑oriented capabilities.
